Audi hints Formula 1 entry with social media post

Automotive manufacturer Audi on Friday hinted at an entry into the world of Formula 1 racing, with a social media post depicting a concept car with an F1 logo on the rear wing.

The picture sent fans into a tizzy, with some saying they have waited for the announcement for the longest time.

It is understood that Audi is set to come into an agreement with Sauber, which currently competes as Alfa Romeo.

With new engine regulations set to come to play starting 2026, Volkswagen’s Audi may reportedly acquire a major chunk of the shares in Sauber.
