Formula One's decision to change the format of qualifying for the 2016 season does not have the support of Ferrari, with chairman Sergio Marchionne calling for a rethink.
It was announced last week that the slowest drivers will be eliminated at set intervals during qualifying in the new season.
F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone had hoped to introduce the format at the Australian Grand Prix later this month, but software problems meant it had to be pushed back to the Spanish GP in May.
Marchionne remains unconvinced by the plans, though, and hopes the delay allows talks to take place over its structure.
"I think we need more discussions about the new qualifying format," Marchionne is quoted as saying by Motorsport.com.
"We must be careful not to upset the system. I'm not sure Ferrari can accept Bernie's ideas.
"We need to understand it better - and I don't think every team agrees with the proposal."
