Kevin Magnussen's physiotherapist is confident the Renault driver will race at the Italian Grand Prix, having escaped injury after a major crash in Belgium on Sunday.

Magnussen was fortunate to suffer only a cut to his ankle when he smashed into a barrier at the infamous Eau Rouge corner of the Spa-Francorchamps circuit.

The 23-year-old issued a message on social media following the incident, claiming he will be at Monza this weekend.

And his physio has confirmed an all-body scan has cleared the Dane of any other serious effects from the high-speed crash.

"He will have a lot of treatment now and not just in one place," Thomas Jorgensen was quoted as saying by Danish outlet BT.

"It's his entire body. He had a whole-body scan yesterday [Monday] because the G [Force] effect was so high. But there was no bleeding of the organs so we have the green light on that, also with his neck.

"It's up to how Kevin responds, but he'll be there [in Italy] - I know him well enough to know that. He will take it easy in this week now and move on," said the physio.

Magnussen must receive the all-clear from International Automobile Federation (FIA) doctors before being allowed to take part in the Italian Grand Prix.
