No driver is safe from the mischievous ways of Daniel Ricciardo not even Lewis Hamilton, who found out the hard way at the Japanese GP.

Lewis Hamilton was fully switched on during a dominant weekend at the Japanese Grand Prix, so perhaps the Formula One world championship leader can be forgiven for winding down on the podium.

But the Mercedes man should know better than to lower his guard when the mischievous Daniel Ricciardo is around.

The Australian is regarded as one of F1's most entertaining characters, with his legendary "shooeys" on the podium delighting the masses, so it should come as little surprise that the Red Bull star opted to have a little bit of fun with Hamilton's Instagram account.

Hamilton had taken his phone onto the Suzuka podium to document his celebrations following his win on Sunday and Ricciardo made the most of a momentary lapse to seize hold of the device and have a little fun, with hilarious consequences.

Ricciardo was in full selfie mode and posted the results to Hamilton's Instagram story, no doubt delighting the five million accounts that follow the Briton on the social media platform.
