Spain's Tito Rabat claimed his third win of the season at the Moto2 Valencia Grand Prix on Sunday.
However, Rabat wasn't able to pass compatriot Alex Rins to second in the world championship standings as Rins finished second to end the season three points ahead.
Switzerland's Thomas Luthi was third with already crowned world champion Johann Zarco down in seventh.
