Sethuraman Panayappan Sethuraman
S.P. Sethuraman was part of the team that won the historic bronze medal for India at the 2014 Chess Olympiad. Later that year, he also won the National premier championship. In 2020, he helped India win the silver at the Asian Nations Cup online tournament. He had lifted the World Under-16 title in 2009. He won the Asian championship in 2016; before him, only four Indians had won it. He had come up with a fine effort to top a strong field at Tashkent. He triumphed after winning his last three games on the trot.
