Total quota: 526 places, 260 men and 260 women. Each NOC can send a maximum of 24 men and 24 women — and one one boat per event for each gender.

 

Qualification events:

 

  • 2019 FISAWorld Rowing Championships Linz-Ottensheim — For each of the following events, the NOCs of the highest placed crews will qualify according to the number of quota places indicated below:
     


 

  • FISA Continental Olympic Qualification Regattas — It is open only to those NOCs that have qualified in only one event or have not qualified in any events at the 2019 World Rowing Championships.


There will be four events at each Continental Qualification Regatta and

the NOCs of the highest placed boats will qualify according to the number of quota places indicated in the table below:
 


 

  • FISA Final Olympic Qualification Regetta — Open to all NOCs that have NFs that are members of FISA. For the boat categories listed below, the highest placed NOCs at the Final Olympic Qualification Regatta will qualify according to the number of quota places indicated below:
