Meanwhile, it's a Sweden one-two in the men's discus throw final as Daniel Stahl claims the gold medal with a throw of 68.90m, while his countryman Simon Pettersson takes silver with a throw of 67.39m. Lukas Weisshaidinger wins the bronze with a throw of 67.07m.

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce comes in second at 10.74s and wins the silver medal, while Shericka Jackson completes the Jamaica one-two-three with a personal best of 10.76s.

It's time for the women's 100m final now!

GOLD MEDAL ALERT! Poland wins the mixed relay gold. The team of Dominika Bacmaga, Kornelia Lesiewicz, Patryk Grzegorzewicz and Jakub Krzewina has broken the Olympic record as well, with a timing of 3:09.87s.

A photo finish between the Dominican Republic and the United States for the silver. The former (3:10.21s) pips the latter (3:10.22s) to second place by a difference of only 0.01s. Meanwhile, the Netherlands misses a spot on the podium by a whisker (3:10.36s).

Next up, we have the 4*400m mixed relay final.

UPDATE: The Women's 800m semifinals are over. Here are the eight athletes who have qualified for the final (which will take place on August 3, Tuesday):

Habitam Alemu (Ethiopia), Wang Chunyu (China), Natoya Goule (Jamaica), Athing Mu and Raevyn Rogers (both United States), Alexandra Bell, Keely Hodgkinson and Jemma Reekie (all three Great Britain)

Women's 100m Final line-up - Daryll Neita (Great Britain), Teahna Daniels (United States), Marie-Josee Ta Lou (Ivory Coast), Ajla del Ponte and Mujinga Kambundji (both Switzerland), Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Elaine Thompson-Herah and Shericka Jackson (all three Jamaica).

The Women's 100m final will commence in less than an hour from now.

RUNNERS WITH SUB-10s TIMINGS: De Grasse, Fred Kerley (United States - 9.97s), Lamont Marcell Jacobs (Italy - 9.94s) and Enoch Adigoke (Nigeria - 9.98s) are the four best performers from round one.

Men's 100m Heat 7 - Jamaica's Yohan Blake is beaten! Australia's Rohan Browning wins the heat at a timing of 10.01s. Blakes comes second at 10.06s. Great Britain's Chijindu Ujah finishes third at 10.08s.

Men's 100m Heat 6 - Another disqualification, it's Fabrice Dabla of Togo in Lane 2, which is the same one as Oduduru. Akani Simbine of South Africa takes this heat with a timing of 10.08s.

Men's 100m Heat 5 - Nigeria's Divine Oduduru was disqualified. One of the event's favourites -- Andre De Grasse of Canada -- wins the heat at a timing of 9.90s.
