Asian Track Cycling Championship: Korea tops medal charts

Korea topped the medal tally in the 37th Saksham Asian Track Cycling Championship held at the Cycling Velodrome here on Friday. Korea bagged nine gold, 13 silver and eight bronze medals at while China was next with eight gold, three silver and three bronze medals.

India took the 11th slot with a tally of two bronze medals.

The gold in the women’s elite keirin event was claimed by Lee Wai Sze of Hong Kong to finish with a haul of three gold medals. Indian riders Deborah Herold and Nayana Rajesh finished tenth and twelfth respectively in this event.
