Joshna Chinappa bowed out of the El Gouna International PSA squash tournament with a 11-4, 11-8, 11-2 loss to fourth seed Laura Massaro in the quarterfinals. The match lasted only 23 minutes.

The 16th seed had earlier defeated Nicol David to reach the quarterfinals.

Compatriot Dipika Pallikal had lost to Camille Serme in the opening round.
