Renjith, who won the 2010 New Delhi Commonwealth Games bronze medal with a personal best 17.07m, won the event today with a best of 16.43m. He had jumped to a season best 16.56m while winning the National inter-State gold in Hyderabad on June 29. The silver medal went to a Thailand jumper with 16.03m. The Rio entry standard in the triple jump is 16.85m and July 11 is the deadline to do it.
