As India celebrated its 73rd Independence Day on Thursday, sportspersons took to social media and extended their wishes on the occasion.

Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar took to Twitter and urged the countrymen to "invest in early child development...which can keep the nation healthy, wealthy and happy".
