Shotgun World Cup: Rajeshwari, Kynan place 24th in mixed trap

Rajeshwari Kumari (43) and Kynan Chenai (48) shot 91 out of 100 as they placed 24th in the mixed trap team competition at the Shotgun World Cup which concluded in Changwon, Korea, on Friday.

The other Indian team of Shagun Chowdhary (43) and Prithviraj Tondaiman (45) placed 31st in a field of 40 teams.

Italians Silvana Stanco and Daniela Resca beat the Americans Ashley Carroll and Derek Haldeman 5-4 in the shoot-off after the two teams tied on 42 in the gold-medal match.

In the new format, six teams make it to the knockout phase, and shoot one more round. Then, the top four compete for the gold and bronze medals, according to their rank among the four.
