The sports minister Vijay Goel has written individual letters to all athletes for inputs to build and enhance the country's pool of sportspersons and strengthen the nation's sports infrastructure. The Ministry has also written to the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and various National Sports Federations (NSFs) for feedback. The minister would also hold extensive meetings with all the stakeholders to analyse India’s performance at Rio and look into the responsibilities of various members of the Indian contingent. Goel would also visit some of the prominent academies and SAI Centres, including the Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy in Hyderabad, to take stock of the facilities available.
