Sub-Juniors: Two swimming national records for Amin

Vedika Amin continued her phenomenal performance, breaking the 100m breast-stroke record twice in the day.

In the 34th Sub-Junior National Aquatic Championship, Vedika Amin and Sanjiti Saha both clocked 28.90 seconds to create a national record in girls' U-10 50m freestyle event, at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex on Thursday. Neena Venkatesh of Karnataka won bronze with a time of 29.86 sec.

Amin continued her phenomenal performance, breaking the 100m breast-stroke record twice in the day. She clocked 1:20.85 seconds in the heats and returned in the evening to better it by clocking 1:18.63 to secure gold.

50m butterfly: Utkarsh Gor (Mah, 32.19), Robin Sen (Del, 32.41), Renuka Charya (Kar, 34.00).

50m freestyle: Anubhav Parashar (ASM, 27.67), Mohammad Rehan Mirza (ASM, 28.53), Pranjal Patra (WB, 29.21).


4x50m individual medley: Sanjiti Saha (Mah, 2:38.18), Shakti Balakrishnan (TN, 2:38.62), Apeksha Fernandes (Mah, 2:40.68).

100m breaststroke: Vedika Amin (Mah, 1:18.63), Apeksha Fernandes (Mah, 1:22.76), Aastha Bordoloi (1:24.50).
