Suyash fails to reach final in 50m swimming at Rio

Suyash finished fifth in the Heat 1 and overall ninth but only the top eight competitors can qualify for the final at the Rio Paralympics

India’s Suyash Narayan Yadav failed to reach the final of the S7 category of the men’s 50 metres swimming competition in the Rio Paralympic Games here on Friday.

Suyash finished fifth in the Heat 1 and overall ninth but only the top eight competitors can qualify for the final.

Suyash completed the 50 metres in 31.58 seconds.

Australian Matthew Levy (28.55 seconds), Colombia’s Carlos Serrano Zarate (28.87) and Chinese Jingang Wang qualified to the final as top three contestants respectively.
