Krystal Mumbai Warriors and Delhi Dragons will lock horns in the Premier Futsal Season 2 opening match at the ‘Dome’, National Sports Club of India (NSCI) on Friday. Former Manchester United star Ryan Giggs will lead the Warriors and Brazilian legend Ronaldinho, the Dragons. Both are Futsal legends.
On the eve of the big show, Giggs said: “It feels great to be back in India for the second season of the Premier Futsal and to be playing in front of the home crowd should be an exceptional experience. Last year was phenomenal. All the fan support we received made it possible to win the inaugural season. It’s amazing to see the growing popularity of the game of Futsal in India and I look forward to defending our title this year.”
The franchise-based league will be played in Mumbai, Bengaluru (from Sept. 15 to 24) and the semi-finals and final will be played at Dubai Sports City on September 26 and October 1. The matches will be telecast by Sony across 72 Futsal crazy nations.
