Day 2: What's happening today?

Take a look at the important events that would unfold on day two of the Rio Games 2016.

The Games have officially begun after the splendid opening ceremony that was broadcasted to an estimated audience of three billion. Twelve gold medals are up for grabs on the second day of the games in Archery, Road cycling, Fencing, Judo, Shooting, Swimming and Weightlifting.

For India, Apurvi Chandela and Ayonika Paul will participate in the 10 metre air rifle event at the National Shooting Centre along with Gurpreet Singh and Jitu Rai, who will take part in the 10 metre air pistol. The tennis contingent will also be in action with both the men's and women's doubles teams playing their respective first round games.
