Shriyanka Sadangi, Anjum Moudgil and Deepak Kumar shot impressive scores in air rifle in the H&N Cup international shooting championship in Munchen-Hochbruck, Germany.
Even though only these three made the finals, and did not win any medals, it was an excellent exposure for some of the Indian shooters, even at the lower level.

Shriyanka Sadangi shot 630.6 in women’s air rifle in the second match and placed fifth, as she lost the shoot-off. Her score was the third best behind Jade Bordet (631.5) of France and Laura-Georgeta Coman (630.8) of Romania who climbed to the second and third spots respectively after the final.
Anjum Moudgil, who has been in excellent form in the selection trials and the national championships, shot 629.0 in the first match and placed fifth, missing further progress by 0.7 point.
Among the men, Deepak Kumar who heads the merit list of air rifle shooters in the country, along with Ravi Kumar, shot 629.9, but slipped to the seventh place in the final.
The best score in the men’s section was 632.7 by Sergey Kamenskii of Russia, which actually means a remarkable average accuracy of 10.5 plus for every shot.
