Angad Vir Singh Bajwa shot 118 and missed the skeet final in the shoot off along with former Asian champion Man Singh in the shotgun World Cup which concluded in Acapulco, Mexico, on Sunday.
In a six-way shoot-off for the last spot in the final, Angad was beaten 12-11 by Wan Artao of China. Man Singh had bowed out earlier by missing the second bird. Angad, who had won the mixed bronze in the Grand Prix event back home in the last World Cup, shot a series of 24, 24, 23, 24 and 23. Man Singh shot consistently better after a bad start to have a series of 22, 24, 24, 24, 24.
Marco Sablone of Italy topped the qualification with 122 and went on to clinch the gold with a 55-53 victory over Frank Thompson of the US.
