The decision to host the 66th National shooting championship from November 5, was taken by the governing body of the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) that met in New Delhi on Monday.
The meeting, chaired by the president of NRAI, Raninder Singh, had secretary general Sultan Singh, senior vice president Kalikesh Narain Singh Deo and treasurer Randeep Mann.
To ensure the conduct of the national championship in time so as to help select the team for Asia Cup, the Olympic quota competition for the Paris Games, the dates for State Championship (July 15), zonal championships (August) and GV Mavlankar Championship (August) were also fixed.
The governing body approved the formation of the organising committee for the World Cup to be staged in Bhopal from March 20.
It was also decided to allow deaf shooters in the MQS section, in the selection trials for regular shooters.
The governing body also accepted the recommendations of the committees for prevention of age fraud and sexual harassment.
