Anmol Jain-Esha Singh win mixed team bronze in Plzen

The Indian pair had topped qualification with 776 out of 800, but lost the race for a better medal by 2.5 points to Italy's Sara Constantno and Dario Di Martino

Anmol Jain and Esha Singh won the mixed air pistol team bronze medal in the Grand Prix of Liberation international shooting competition in Plzen, Czech Republic.

The Indian pair had topped qualification with 776 out of 800, but lost the race for a better medal by 2.5 points to the Italian team of Sara Constantno and Dario Di Martino.

The other Indian team of Deepak Sharma and Annu Raj Singh also made the final, shot in the old format with the top five teams, but ended up fifth.

Former world champion in women’s rifle prone event, Tejaswini Sawant shot 617.1 and placed 26th.

In women’s air rifle, Shriyanka Sadangi did well to take the 11th place from among 128 shooters, with a score of 624.2.

Most of the shooters will move on to the next international competition in Hannover, Germany.
