Rahul Poonia topped the men’s rifle 3-position event with a score of 453.0, 3.4 points ahead of Satyendra Singh in the shooting National selection trials at the Dr. Karni Singh Range, Tughlakabad. Deepak Kumar, Surendra Singh Rathod, Ninad Chaudhari, Kapil Rana, Hariom Singh and Parul Kumar finished third to eighth in that order, while Swapnil Kusale and Imran Hasan Khan shot 1148 and missed the final by two points.

In air pistol, Omkar Singh topped ahead of Parveen Kumar and Amit Kumar Pilaniya, while Prakash Nanjappa skipped the final after shooting 578 in the qualification stage.

In centre fire pistol, Olympic silver medallist Vijay Kumar topped with a score of 583, one point ahead of Omkar Singh. Wazir Singh Rathee emphasised his fluency with the third place, as he beat Pemba Tamang with a better inner-10s score of 24x to 16x, after the two tied on 580.

In women’s rifle prone, Lajja Gauswami topped, while the earlier topper Srinithi Abirami placed eighth with a modest score of 612.6, marginally behind the seasoned Kuheli Gangulee (612.9) and former World champion Tejaswini Sawant (612.7). Anjum Moudgil (614.0) settled for the fourth place.
