Harveen Srao jumped to the top after having qualified last with 571 in women’s air pistol in the seventh shooting National selection trials at the Dr. Karni Singh Range, Tughlakabad, on Saturday. Harveen, the former World University champion, logged 240.4 points in the final; she beat qualification topper P. Shri Nivetha by 0.6 point.
Mahima Turhi Agrawal won the junior women’s event while Devnashi Yadav prevailed among the youth women.
In rapid fire pistol, Arpit Goel and Rajkanwar Sandhu topped in the men’s and junior sections respectively.
In women’s rifle 3-position event, former World Champion Tejaswini Sawant beat Sonika by one point to top the final, while Mansi Sudhir prevailed over fellow qualification topper G. Varshaa among the juniors.
