National selection trials to resume from March 5

The third and fourth sets of selection trials for rifle and pistol will be held in Tughlakabad, from March 5 to March 19, 2019.

The third and fourth set of National shooting selection trials for rifle and pistol will be held at the Dr. Karni Singh Range, Tughlakabad, from March 5 to March 19, 2019.

After pre-event training, the trials will start with air rifle for women and rapid fire pistol for men. It will be followed by rifle 3-position for men and air rifle for men.

There will also be trials for men’s and women’s prone events, apart from free pistol for men. The latter stages will feature air pistol for men and women, apart from centre-fire pistol and standard pistol
events.

The National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) will also conduct a separate set of selection trials for the juniors who are unable to participate in the trials in March. It will be held from April 16 to 25. Those juniors who compete in March will not be eligible to appear for the trials in April.
