Saurabh Chaudhary outclassed Aleksandr Kondrashin of Russia by 5.4 points to clinch the junior men’s air pistol gold in the 28th Meeting of Shooting Hopes International championship.

Saurabh Chaudhary outclassed Aleksandr Kondrashin of Russia by 5.4 points to clinch the junior men’s air pistol gold in the 28th Meeting of Shooting Hopes International championship in Plzen, Czech Republic, on Saturday.

Saurabh who had won the Junior World Cup in Suhl earlier, had topped qualification with 578, five points less than his best score in the international arena.

Earlier, Elavenil Valarivan beat Nicole Gabrielli of Italy by 1.1 point to clinch the junior women’s air rifle gold, after having topped qualification with 628.0.

The Indian junior men swept the three medals in the 25-metre sports pistol, with Rajkanwar Singh Sandhu winning the gold with 586, one point ahead of Vijayveer Sidhu.
