Sheeraz Sheikh shot identical rounds to be on 48 after two rounds in men’s skeet in the shotgun World Cup in San Marino on Thursday.With seven shooters shooting perfect 50, Sheeraz found himself in the 27th spot among 89 shooters with three more rounds to go on the morrow before the knock-out phase.

Former Asian champion Man Singh shot rounds of 25 and 22 to be in 50th place while Smit Singh slipped to the 74th spot following rounds of 23 and 21. In women’s skeet, National Games champion Rashmee Rathore shot increasingly better after a bad start with rounds of 17, 21 and 23 but a total of 61 out of 75 was quite discouraging in terms of making the knock-out phase, in a field of 54 shooters.

In the competition that was still in progress, the national junior champion Maheshwari Chauhan had shot two rounds, 20 and 24.
