Shotgun World Cup: Rajeshwari misses final

After a strong start, Rajeshwari Kumari lost her way in the third round in a series of 24, 23 and 20.

Rajeshwari Kumari missed the final by three points in women’s trap in the shotgun World Cup in Larnaka, Cyprus, on Friday.

After a strong start, Rajeshwari lost her way in the third round with a series of 24, 23 and 20. While Rajeshwari was at 25th in a field of 54 shooters, World Cup silver medallist Seema Tomar shot 63 for the 35th place and Manisha Keer recovered from a bad start of 17 to end up 40th with a total of 61.

In men’s trap, Olympian Kynan Chenai had rounds of 23 and 24, as he was placed 29th after two rounds in a strong field of 127 shooters.

Prithviraj Tondaiman (46) and Zoravar Singh Sandhu (45) followed close by in a field in which Sindre Kragsrud of Norway led with 50.

Three more rounds on Saturday will be followed by the final for the top six.
