Aditya Jagtap capped off a remarkable run to clinch the City View Open title, his maiden PSA title, on Saturday. His giant-killing spree continued in the final as he defeated fifth seed Alister Walker of Botswana 11-8, 11-5, 11-6.
En route to the title clash, he had defeated top seed Faraz Khan of the U.S. in the quarterfinal and eighth seed Hugo Varela of Spain in the semifinal. What makes his title win all the more remarkable is that he had entered the tourney as a qualifier.
