Joshna Chinappa needed an hour to enter her 19th final in PSA events.

Joshna Chinappa fought her way to the final of the HKFC International squash tournament in Hong Kong.

The third seed needed an hour to beat second seed and defending champion Annie Au 8-11, 11-9, 12-10, 7-11, 11-9 to set up a title clash against top seed Joelle King of New Zealand.

Joshna had swept aside Annie in straight games at the Asian team championship in Chinese Taipei two weeks ago. This time, however, Annie fought back after losing the first two games. Egged on by home support, she won the next two games before losing the decider.

Joshna hasn’t made it to the final of a PSA event since last September and will be looking to win her 12th title on her 19th appearance in finals.
