National squash champion Joshna Chinappa, already the highest-ranked Indian in the world, improved her position by a rung from 15 to 14 as per the latest PSA ranking list for February. Dipika Pallikal remained on 17.

In the men’s section, Saurav Ghosal suffered a trifle. Out of action through a leg injury for a brief period after the Hong Kong Open, Saurav dropped to 20 from 18 last month.

As for the others, Harinder Pal Sandhu comes next to Saurav at 66, a rung behind is Mahesh Mangaonkar, who too like Saurav was off action because of ill-health and that told on his ranking. He was on 61 last month. Kush Kumar, who had jumped to 90 in January, went down two rungs to 92. In the women’s section, Sachika Ingale is on 84.
