Ramit Tandon quashes Kush Kumar to win SYS Open

Ramit Tandon, a former top-ranked junior in India, beat his compatriot Kush Kumar, seeded three, in his third PSA final.

Ramit Tandon, a United States-based Indian, won the SYS Open, his maiden Professional Squash Association (PSA) title, in New York on Sunday.

Tandon, a former top-ranked junior in India, beat his compatriot Kush Kumar, seeded three, in his third PSA final. He had little trouble in dispatching Kumar 11-3, 11-2, 11-3.

Tandon, who shifted to New York from Kolkata for studies, is just a few years into the professional circuit. The SYS Open is his second tournament this year.
