After a losing start against Egypt, India made amends with a 3-0 win over Mexico on Tuesday in the World Women's Team squash championship in Paris.
The win keeps alive India's hopes of progressing to the last eight phase from Pool A. Newcomer Sunayna Kuruvilla won in straight games over Dina Anguiano Gomez. Her famed cousin Dipika Pallikal Karthik then made short work of Luz Lopez winning 11-4, 11-7, 11-7.
India's No. 1 Joshna Chinappa routed Diana Garcia 11-7, 11-8, 11-8.
"Each Indian played a tight game, giving little away," said National coach Cyrus Poncha, "After the loss to Egypt on the first day, this was a refreshing change."
India, however, has to beat New Zealand to qualify for the next stage.
