With one more feather in his cap - he became the fastest One-Day International (ODI) captain to complete 2000 runs - Virat Kohli seems to have been going strong forever. After one of his rare failures on Thursday in Bengaluru, where India lost to Australia by 21 runs , Kohli met members of India’s women’s team.

Kohli met Harmanpreet Kaur, who shone in the spotlight for an awe-inspiring century against Australia in the Women’s World Cup, and Smriti Mandhana, the flamboyant opener. Members of the same fraternity, the three possess the capability to destroy bowling attacks.

Kohli has been in good form, with a prolific ODI series in Sri Lanka, and a 92 at Eden Gardens in the ongoing series against Australia.
