Maradona memorabilia adorns Kerala Hotel room

Hotel Blue Nile in Kannur has retained just about everything the Argentina legend used when he stayed there for two days in 2012.

In 2012, Diego Maradona stayed at Hotel Blue Nile when he visited the town of Kannur in Kerala.

Maradona's presence in their midst was a moment of pride for the small town.

Hotel proprietor V. Ravindran says, “I consider it as my great fortune that he stayed in my hotel.”

Pictures of the Argentine legend, enclosed in portraits, adorn Room No. 309, the room Maradona had stayed in.

Ravindran says, “I have always been a huge fan of Maradona and the Argentine football team.”

Gifts for Maradona upon his arrival in Kannur on October 23, 2012. They were "returned to Chairman by leaving, as his memory.”
