Sania, Shoaib welcome Baby Mirza Malik

Cricketer Shoaib Malik announced on Tuesday morning that he and his wife Sania Mirza are blessed with a baby boy.

The big day has finally arrived for the Mirza's. Six-time Grand Slam winner Sania Mirza is blessed with a baby boy on Tuesday morning.

Sania's parents Imran and Nasima Mirza along with her husband and Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik were present in the private hospital in the city here.

Later, the couple named their son, Izhaan Mirza Malik, meaning God's gift.

 

Malik shared his excitement over the newborn's arrival on social media. He tweeted, "Excited to announce: Its a boy, and my girl is doing great and keeping strong as usual # Alhumdulilah. Thank you for the wishes and Duas, we are humbled # BabyMirzaMalik."

There were palpable moments of joy in the family and it may be recalled here that Sania and Shoaib have already decided to name the kid — whether it is a boy or girl — as Mirza Malik.

Speaking to Sportstar , Mirza revealed that she is prepared for motherhood. "I think motherhood prepares one automatically and very naturally for the most important phase in a woman’s life. A lot has changed in the last few months and I know a lot more will change in the coming days, but most of it has happened without me making too much of a conscious effort."
