Srihari Nataraj broke his own National record, clocking 2:01.70s, in the 200m backstroke heats at the FINA World junior swimming championships here on Sunday.

That was a lot better than his old record of 2:02.08s clocked at the World senior championships in South Korea last month, but his time in Budapest on Sunday was not good enough to carry him to the final. The 18-year-old from Bengaluru finished 14th in his heats.
