Results followed the much-anticipated script with Haryana blanking top seed Delhi 3-0 to take the women’s team title in the National ranking table tennis (North Zone) tournament here on
Sunday.
Served well by former National champion from Bengal, Sutirtha Mukherjee and home-grown Riti Shankar, Haryana enjoyed a smooth start and finish. In between, Oishwarya Deb battled from a 1-2 deficit against Garima Goyal to win two close games and doubled Haryana's lead.
Even Monday’s men team title-clash will involve Haryana and Delhi. In the semifinals, both teams cruised to 3-0 triumphs.

Men (semifinals): Delhi beat Punjab 3-0 (Utkarsh Gupta bt Nikhil Kumar 9-11, 11-6, 9-11, 11-7, 11-9, Payas Jain bt Harnoor Singh 12-10, 6-11, 11-6, 11-7, Aadarsh Om Chetri bt Kartik Dogra 11-5, 11-8, 9-11, 11-5); Haryana beat Rajasthan 3-0 (Jeet Chandra bt Shubham Ojha 8-11, 11-8, 9-11, 11-9, 11-4, Soumyajit Ghosh bt Vivek Bhargava 11-7, 11-13, 11-8, 11-6, Sourav Saha bt Anukram Jain 11-9, 11-7, 11-5).
Women (final): Haryana beat Delhi 3-0 (Sutirtha Mukherjee bt Vanshika Bhargava 11-4, 12-10, 11-8, Oishwarya Deb bt Garima Goyal 11-8, 5-11, 10-12, 11-9, 11-9, Riti Shankar bt Kritika Malik 14-12, 11-9, 11-7); (semifinals): Delhi bt Punjab 3-0; Haryana bt Rajasthan 3-0.
