East Zone TT: Anthony Amalraj, Archana Kamath bow out in pre-quarters

Delhi's Yashansh Malik and West Bengal's Prapti Sen took home the Youth Boys' and Girls' titles respectively.

Men’s top-seed Anthony Amalraj and women’s second-seed Archana Kamath were the biggest upsets in the UTT National Ranking East Zone table tennis championships at the Dumurijala Stadium in Howrah on Thursday.

Amalraj lost to Soumyajit Ghosh 7-11, 17-15, 12-10, 11-7, 9-11, 8-11, 11-6, while Archana bowed out with a fighting 6-11, 7-11, 12-10, 5-11, 11-9, 11-3, 11-8 defeat to Krittwika Sinha Roy in men’s and women’s singles pre-quarterfinals respectively.
