Andy Murray shared his delight after securing his 600th career ATP Tour win, over Kevin Anderson at the Western and Southern Open in Cincinnati on Thursday.
Murray is only the fifth active player on Tour to claim 600 career wins, behind Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, world number one Novak Djokovic and David Ferrer.
The 6-3 6-2 win against Anderson also extended Murray's career-best unbeaten run to 20 matches.
"It's cool that it happened in Cincinnati, the first [ATP World Tour Masters 1000] tournament I've ever played in," Murray told ESPN post-match.
"I also won my first Masters 100 here, so it's a place that means a lot to me."
The South African, who defeated Murray in last year's US Open, took the early initiative before the world number two immediately broke back and pressed on.
Murray - an Olympic gold medallist in Rio - will now face Bernard Tomic in the quarter-final.
"Kevin has had some tough injuries to deal with this year and is starting to sort of gradually get back to the level he was playing at last year. It takes time," Murray said.
"For me I'm coming off the best few months of my career, so it's slightly different circumstances. [Tomic] had a good win today against Nishikori. He's a talented player. We've had some tough matches. He plays with a lot of variety."
