Andy Murray remains confident that he can win the Australian Open despite >his loss to Novak Djokovic on Saturday.

The World No. 1 saw his 28-match winning run ended by Djokovic, who recorded a 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 victory over the Brit in the Qatar Open final.

But, Murray said it made no difference heading to Melbourne Park, where he is a five-time runner-up.

"I still think I have a chance of winning the Australian Open. I don't think that changes," the three-time grand slam champion said.

"It's disappointing to lose for sure, but I have a chance to win the Australian Open still."

Murray came up against a ruthless Djokovic, who converted three of his four break points to win in two hours, 54 minutes.

The 29-year-old said he was looking forward to the year's first Grand Slam and the different challenges of best-of-five set matches.

"Playing in slams obviously physically is harder at times, [but] mentally is a little bit easier just because you have more time to work things out," Murray said.

"Here in best-of-three set matches, they can get away from you quite quickly, so you need to start fast."
