Ankita Raina a step closer to WTA event in Thailand

Ankita Raina has qualified for the second and final qualifying round of the $250,000 WTA tennis tournament.

Ankita Raina blanked Kwan Yau Ng of Hong Kong 6-0, 6-0 to reach the second and final qualifying round of the $250,000 WTA tennis tournament in Hua Hin, Thailand, on Saturday.

In the final round, Ankita will play fifth seed Conny Perrin of Switzerland.

Karman Kaur Thandi, however, went down fighting 3-6, 5-7 to Chloe Paquet of France.
