ATP Challenger: Prajnesh Gunneswaran defeats Saketh Myneni

With the win, Prajnesh moves into the pre-quarterfinals.

Prajnesh Gunneswaran will face Addam Pavlasek of the Czech Republic in the pre-quarterfinals.

Prajnesh Gunneswaran was in fine form as he beat Saketh Myneni 6-2, 6-4 in the second round of the USD 162,480 Challenger in China on Tuesday.

Prajnesh converted all the three breakpoints he forced and saved the only breakpoint that he faced.

In the pre-quarterfinals, the second seeded Prajnesh will play Addam Pavlasek of the Czech Republic.

Fifth seed Ramkumar Ramanathan also moved into the pre-quarterfinals after a bye in the first round, as he beat Yan Bai of China 6-4, 6-4. Ramkumar will play Zhang Zhizhen of China in the pre-quarterfinals.

In the ATP-1000 tournament in Monte Carlo, Divij Sharan in partnership Laslo Djere of Serbia was beaten 6-2, 6-1 by Ivan Dodig and Edouard Roger-Vasselin in the doubles first round.
