Maria Sharapova defeats 2018 champion Caroline Wozniacki 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 to progress to Round 4. Caroline Wozniacki put up a fight in the second set to take it to the decider, but Sharapova, who started her Australian Open by serving a double bagel, charges ahead in the third.  (Report)

Dimitrov vs Fabbiano

Grigor Dimitrov has taken the first set 7-6 (5)  against Thomas Fabbiano. After a tought second-round win, it looks fairly straightforward win for Dimitrov here. He pockets the second 6-4. He wraps up a 7-6, 6-4, 6-4 win.

Roger Federer may have got just 62 per cent of his first serves in till the third set, but he has managed to maintain a 91 per cent rate in his first serve. He has kept his net game error-free and currently leads 6-4, 7-4. Will he wrap it up in the third set against Taylor Fritz?

Here's one man who is hoping for a Fritz win, to avoid a Federer clash in the next round:

Stefanos Tsitsipas defeated Nikoloz Basilashvili 6-3, 3-6, 7-6, 6-4.

AND Federer seals a 6-2, 7-5, 6-2 win. Sorry, Tsitsipas!  Read the match report here

Meanwhile, 17-year-old Amanda Anisimova is causing a stir at Margaret Court Arena. She registers an upset win over 11th seed Aryna Sabalenka. Here are some of reactions from fans on twitter:

Anisimova - the first male or female born in the 2000s to reach the last 16 of a major - also became the youngest American woman to reach the fourth round at Melbourne Park since Jennifer Capriati in 1993. (REPORT)

  • "Anisimova is a tank. Easy power and great angles."
  • "I already am starting to like Amanda Anisimova. She has a bright future ahead!"
  • "Wow! This girl, Anisimova. She's something, and could potentially be everything."

Lenny Federer 1 Ivan Ljubicic 0

Roger Federer had a special guest in his courtside box watching him beat Taylor Fritz -- his son Lenny, and he stole the show. As the Swiss master was doing a courtside interview Lenny was more interested in poking his coach Ivan Ljubicic in the face. “There he goes. The coach is being very serious, I love that,” Federer said. “I didn't even know he (Lenny) was going to come to the stadium. For me it was a very special match and I'm happy Lenny was there.” Federer has two sets of twins, two boys and two girls, with wife Mirka. - AFP

Seagulls guilty

Konta revealed the bizarre reason her late-night epic against Muguruza could not be moved to an outside court so it could start earlier. “We were actually going to go out to court three to start,” she said. “There was basically seagull poo everywhere. They had to clean the court. By the time they would have cleaned the court, we would have been in the same boat anyway.” - AFP
