Australian Open: Matches to look out for on Day 5

We take a look at the top five matches the fifth day of the Australian Open will have to offer.

Rafael Nadal vs Damir Džumhur: The Spaniard top seed will face Bosnia's Džumhur in the third round on Friday. Nadal beat Argentine Leonardo Mayer in straight sets 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) and will be the obvious favourite against the Džumhur. The Bosnian comes into the match after a four-setter against Aussie John Millman which ended 5-7, 6-3, 6-4, 6-1.

Nick Kyrgios vs Jo-Wilfried Tsonga: Kyrgios will unsurprisingly generate interest from his home crowd and the mercurial Aussie willl need the support as he faces big-serving Frenchman Tsonga.

Tsonga was stretched to five sets as he overcame Denis Shapovalov 3-6, 6-3, 1-6, 7-6 (7-4), 7-5, while Kyrgios had the easier workload beating Serbian Viktor Troicki 7-5, 6-4, 7-6 (7-2).

Caroline Wozniacki vs Kiki Bertens: Second seed Wozniacki will have Dutch ace Bertens in her way as she looks to move one step closer to glory. She was almost sent home packing in her previous round after miraculously beating Jana Fett despite being 5-1 and 40-15 down in the deciding set. She eventually came out on top 3-6, 6-2, 7-5.

Bertens, meanwhile, breezed past N. Gibbs 7-6 (7-3), 6-0. .

Rohan Bopanna/Édouard Roger-Vasselin vs João Sousa/Leonardo Mayer: Bopanna and his French partner Roger-Vasselin comes into this fixture on the back of an easy outing in the previous round, winning 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) while their opponents won their second round encounter 7-6 (10-8), 7-5.

Jeļena Ostapenko vs Anett Kontaveit: Latvian superstar Ostapenkoi beat her Chinese Opponent Duan 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 and will start favourite against Estonian Kontaveit, who fared similarly in her second round encounter as she beat German Barthel 6-4, 4-6, 6-3.
