Prajnesh through to pre-quarters in Bangkok Challenger

Prajnesh Gunneswaran had to be at his fighting best to beat Denis Yevseyev of Kazakhstan 7-5, 3-6, 6-4 in the second round of the $54,160 Challenger tennis tournament in Bangkok on Wednesday.

In the pre-quarterfinals, Prajnesh, who had a bye in the first round, will face Kwon Soonwoo of Korea.

In the ATP tournament in Delray Beach, Ramkumar Ramanathan in partnership with Tim Smyczek of the US was beaten 6-4, 6-2 by Marcello Arevalo and Jamie Cerretani.
