Asian Games doubles bronze medallists Yuki Bhambri and Divij Sharan beat Guillermo Garcia-Lopez and Enrique Lopez-Perez of Spain 3-6, 7-5, 10-6 in the doubles semifinals of the Challenger tennis tournament in Uzbekistan on Thursday.

In the final, the Indian pair will play the second seeds Hans Podlipnik-Castillo of Chile and Andrei Vasilevski of Belarus.

In the ITF men’s Futures in Nigeria, the Sood twins, Chandril and Lakshit moved into the doubles semifinals.

In the ITF women’s event in France, Karman Kaur Thandi was beaten 7-5, 6-2 by Julie Gervais of France in the pre-quarterfinals.

In the ITF women’s event in Colombo, Zeel Desai set up a second round against four-time national champion Prerna Bhambri. Rutuja Bhosale and Nidhi Chilumula were the other Indians to make the second round, while a few others like Rishika Sunkara, Jennifer Luikham and second seed Pranjala Yadlapalli were yet to play their first round.
