Rohan Bopanna in partnership with Pablo Cuevas of Uruguay knocked out the top seeds Lukasz Kubot of Poland and Marcelo Melo of Brazil 6-7 (3), 6-4, 10-8 in the doubles quarterfinals of the ATP-500 tennis tournament in Austria on Friday.

In the semifinals, Bopanna and partner will play Karen Khachanov of Russia and Lucas Pouille of France who beat third seeds Jamie Murray of Britain and Bruno Soares of Brazil 10-7 in the super tie-break.
Bhambri bows out
In the USD 50,000 Challenger in Ho Chi Minh City, fourth seed Yuki Bhambri was beaten 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (2) in a battle of wits in two hours and 27 minutes by John Millman of Australia in the quarterfinals. The Indian challenge was sustained by Saketh Myneni and Vijay Sundar Prashanth who made the doubles semifinals.

In the USD 60,000 ITF women’s event in China, Ankita Raina and her Dalila Jakupovic of Slovenia were beaten in the doubles semifinals by the top seeds Xinyun Han of China and Makoto Ninomiya of Japan.
