Bopanna-Roger-Vasselin pair progresses to SF, Prajnesh goes down to Puetz

The Indian-French pairing bounced back from losing the first set and complete the turnaround by winning the super tie-break.

Rohan Bopanna in partnership with Edouard Roger-Vasselin of France beat Jamie Cerretani and Adil Shamasdin 10-4 in the super tie-break to make the doubles semifinals of €718,810 ATP tennis tournament in France.

In the ATP event in the US, Divij Sharan in partnership with Scott Lipsky made the doubles quarterfinals and will play third seeds Ben Mclachlan of Japan and Hugo Nys of France.

In the $50,000 Challenger in Japan, Prajnesh Gunneswaran was beaten by Tim Puetz of Germany, but he will play the doubles semifinals with Sriram Balaji.

Meanwhile, in a battle of wits that lasted three hours and 50 minutes, in the pre-quarterfinals of the ITF women’s event in Australia, Karman Kaur Thandi was beaten 5-7, 7-6(3), 7-5 by Tereza Mrdeza of Croatia, who served better at the crunch.
