Balaji, Vishnu beat top seeds to enter final

Sriram Balaji and Vishnu Vardhan beat top seeds Roman Jebavy of the Czech Republic and Matwe Middelkoop of the Netherlands 7-6(2), 6-2 in the doubles semifinals of the € 46,600 Challenger tennis tournament in Meerbusch, Germany on Friday.

In the Challenger in Slovenia, Sasi Kumar Mukund was beaten 6-2, 6-2 by the top seed Aijaz Bedene of Slovenia in the pre-quarterfinals.

In the ITF men’s Futures in Jakarta, Aryan Goveas beat Kasidit Samrej of Thailand to reach the semifinals.

In the ITF women’s event in Nairobi, Mahak Jain and Sravya Shivani Chilakalapudi made the singles semifinals, and made the doubles final with Sathwika Sama and Snehal Mane respectively.
